Kavana: My Dad, the Man.

Kavana: My Dad, the Man.

What a day.  My Father celebrated his 40 years working at the Factory – I’m so proud of him. Proud of him for sticking to one job for all that time – what an achievement. And he’s moving out of the house – it’s a big change for him. I’m going to miss the old fella around work. And now we have this EX FACTORY.

I am so excited to be able to show my family off – they did great today - Lo'u Matai pola puipui oe, o pou tutoa na fa'avae ai. I am a proud Father and a proud Samoan so I have twice as much showing off to do!

I know we can win this, It’s a big ask but my kids can do it, I know they can. And besides, I made the promise in front of Keith and my Dad that we will win it.  Dad is excited about it, he has a lot to teach the kids and they need to learn it.

I'm happy for him cos it gives him something to do now that he won't be working, also he gets to spend time with the kids. Just hope he doesn't get too carried away with them, I know what he was like with me and our band lol. Anyway I'm sure they will have lots of fun.

I watch my kids grow up so fast – I love them all but sometimes they think they know everything about life.  I tell them to slow down and listen to me – I’m their Father and boss of the house now.  I just want to keep everyone happy.  It’s not the easiest job in the world but as the man of the house it falls on me.  The true chief of this family is my Father.  I can only hope to be half the man he is.
