Lilly: Today was a good day :)

Lilly: Today was a good day :)

These are first on my list for the new oven! My famous Samoan Koko and Chocolate Muffins to celebrate the Wildcard – Billy’s favourite

Oh what a day! Proud day to be a Saumalu! It’s an extraordinary feeling of upright pride witnessing my children embrace their heritage in THAT way. The Fa’asamoa way. Fa’afetai tele lava Tigi, for persevering with them, for reconnecting us all in our roots.  And, well yes ok, for making this sometimes overacting-overprotective mother understand the deeper reason behind your stoic mission.

Got a brand new, well not that new, second hand OVEN! Generously gifted by Mason and his Datz Us store. Another reason to rejoice today. No more umus for at least another year! Or until something goes wrong or blows up. Mental note, no more fia poko’s fixing the oven fa’afetai! Thanks Datz Us! (I already know what I’m going to bake!)  I’ve also got a little treat for my girls this weekend I’m taking them to watch Ladi6 at the Powerstation – they are big fans.  Well done girls for all your hard work.  I know there’s been a lot of eye rolling going on but you pulled through and did it!! Haha xx
