Kavana: Gafa

Kavana: Gafa

On the Factory floor – new floor supervisor means I get to keep an eye on Lilly haha shhhh

Well the new job is in full swing now and I’m enjoying the new title even though it’s pretty much what I've been doing for a while now, helping the old man out on the Factory floor.

So… the kids were fully shocked when I told them that their Grandfather was gonna lead them into the Ex-Factory competition.  We got a really good look into it last night at the Factory.  I gotta say,  I love it,  it’s great cos Dad’s showing my kids their ancestor's song,  maua le avagoa e a'oa'o ai le Gafa ole matou aiga i tamaiti.

Dad went all out with that one, even jumped up on the fabric table where he used to scream at all the Indians who he would find leaning on the table or one leg up sitting on the thing he would snap, he was dancing on it hahaha still got the dam moves too, and my lil boy Billy was really into it, but man you should've seen the others – Losa, Moana, Tavita - they just froze lol.

I tried to play cool and even looking at my wife Lilly was hard. But that took me back into time and I love it.  I remember singing our family Gafa song as a young man, loving every minute of it, and I know my kids were a bit shocked, well really shocked but in time they'll love it, can't stop smiling cos I know they'll love it, I hope.
