Lilly: Farewell Dad.

Lilly: Farewell Dad.

Us today for Dad’s farewell ☺ (thanks for the photo Vic!)

Today was full on! The Factory honoured Dad for being a ‘faithful servant of Murdoch Textiles.’ A retirement party? More like a Tuppaware party.

I didn’t expect to be affected by his departure from the factory but I was. It was a bitter-sweet affair -  the sad irony of all the years of his hard labour was embraced with a plastic key…I will never understand how that’s justified – anyway, will force the rising anger to the side and think more positively… at least now I guess he has more time to spend with his grandkids…and hopefully begins dating again hehe Malo Grandpa.

I know we’ll see him every day but I’m going to miss his flirtatious grin with the ladies at the lunch room and on the sewing floor. Honestly, like father like son. It won’t feel the same without him for a while.

Proudest moment of the day was standing side by side with my family watching the kids sing ☺ The classic was Kavana’s curve ball to the kids about a singing comp…Ex Factory. Watching them squirm in the van with their feeble excuses made me laugh.

My babies are crazy about their Grandpa, sometimes I think they love him more than their Dad and me – and secretly, I love that.
